well that explains that, but doesn't explain why I get the same problem with two different games both of which are now on the fat partition, which has no permissions.

Something very annoying is going on here.

Clearly I have rwx priviledges on all the folders or Duke3d wouldn't work. It shouldn't be necesssary on the Fat partition, yet it still does it...

when i run cd /home/prboom ; ./prboom on dingux it's say sh-cant find the file
what could be the problem? i've executed also mount -n -o remount,rw /dev/root / and chmod +x prboom.
i have this files in home/prboom: chmod +x prboom prboom and prboom.wad (copied from prboom-dingoo-linux) and doom.wad (copied from a sharware doom), so i don't get why give me that error because prboom IS in the correct directory

i've tried to run ./Makefile but it gives me a error saying permission denied
i don't know what to do!!!
I've succerfully ran duke3d and snes9x but now im lost
Thanks

I used to have a problem with sh not finding the executable when I was using the google code rootfs, but we know you're not doing that anymore...hmmm. Maybe it has to do with the toolchain prboom was compiled with. Maybe it needs to be compiled again with the latest toolchain.

I reckon that must be it...no such problems with Duke3D and Scummvm

Can someone either test this on their system or post a recompile with the new toolchain.

Possibly with hhexen and hheretic as well. I know there must be a few of you with a properly setup compiling environment..

Pretty please with sugar on top and little sprinkles shaped like elven children vomiting gold coins into magic hats....

I've realised that actually I am a dumbass.....

hexen and heretic also work fine.

I've been trying to execute the folder not the binary :)

Hey linux is weird and strange to me.

Regardless the actual problem appears to be the "prboom not found" issue....

Is it possible to have staticly compiled version of Prboom as I got the same problem as espontaneo (prboom not found). I think that's not compiled staticly.

Having had a look again at the readme for prboom - It says for the compiled binary you will need the "libSDL_mixer and perhaps a few other libraries" - could that be the problem?

Here's an rpm with libSDL_mixer for mipsel if it helps: ftp://194.199.20.114/linux/sourceforge/l/li/libsdl/SDL_mixer-1.2.7-1.mipsel.rpm
