Hi, I've followed the instructions on the previous pages (changed dmenu.cfg, copied the data directory's contents into the main Vice folder, and edited the 2 files in Vice folder), and now, when I boot into Dingux, it stops after switching root, continually throwing up a "Segmentation Error". Any ideas how to fix this, or why it's happeneing? Any insight is appreciated.

That usually happens when you have an invalid entry in your dmenu config
try removing the entry and see what happens

Thanks for the fast reply :) My apologies, I should have mentioned that I can correct the problem by removing the posted additions to dmenu.cfg...

MenuItem vice
{
Name = " vice"
Executable = "./x64.dge"
WorkDir = "/usr/local/emulators/vice"
}

Thus, I can't get Vice to work, and I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong with this addition (I've tried the other variant provided as well, to the same result). I'm curious as to what I'm doing wrong - am I somehow putting this in the wrong place? Thus far, I've tried it in the "Emulators" area of the file, right before the entry for SCUMMvm, like so:

MenuItem vice
{
Name = " vice"
Executable = "./x64.dge"
WorkDir = "/usr/local/emulators/vice"
}

MenuItem ScummVM
{
...
}

I think you have to put in a icon entry in that config. Just use one from another entry in your config

I just noticed, setting frameskip to 0 and ReSID as SID gives a big performance boost! And I thought FastSID would be faster :lol:
Many demos are close to fullspeed afterdoing this! Some lags here and there, but much better than before. :D

OK, i think i know, why the sound is so quiet:
VICE seems to set the volume very low when it starts, after running vice, other emulators are very quiet too (just checked this with hatari). Volset doesn´t work with VICE, so i changed the entry "SoundVolume" in the frodorc files (i have two btw: frodorc and frodorc~, which one to change, both?), didn´t help either.
The sound emulation would be kick ass, if it would be louder :)
