    • font
    • nls
  • user_data

hi zouzzz

the languagefiles are located in

/system/nls/

a short examination showed the following

ÓïÑÔ.dlx => indexfile

µÂÓï.dlx => german
Ó¢ÎÄ.dlx => english
Î÷°àÑÀ.dlx => portugese?
²¨À¼Óï.dlx => polish
·¨Óï.dlx => french
Òâ´óÀûÓï.dlx => italian

the two chinese and the english language seem to be hardcoded in the current firmware. if you like to translate the software you should take a look at all the .dlx-files maybe the work is already done.

bye

I think, Dingoo is using ASC_16x8.bmf under system/font which looks like this:

As you can see without international characters, but there is a cp1252_16.bmf (Latin I Encoding). The problem is bmfview doesn't show anything so i can't know if changing to this bmf, where so9 says, we can use international characters...

hi to all,

maybe my new project helps you to translate the menus properly. it's my first attempt of a complete hxf-hacker.
it's a little bit alpha but changing the languagefiles should work properly.

EDIT

there was an error in the header-code. use this new tool
