Supported Video Format?

Postby omars on Thu Mar 12, 2009 4:08 am

It says that it supports mp4 video, but in a video review I heard someone say it doesnt support videos made for ipod?

Would it support mp4 videos made from youtube converters online, such as http://www.catchyoutube.com/?

How would you know what type of mp4 file you have?

Hey omars,

You could use the option to grab the .flv (flash video) file from youtube, that's the native filetype for youtube flics, so they won't need conversion.

The Dingoo A-320 can play back .flv files without conversion.

I use Orbit downloader to grab videos directly in .flv format and it's not restricted to youtube alone.
You can get it at: http://www.orbitdownloader.com/

And what about AVI format? Can AVI be played without convertion (for example 30FPS, res: 640x480)? And what about divX? On some players can be played divX videos if it is renamed to *.avi.

Thanks a lot.

Hi.
Much to our joy, the cute a320 supports almost every format.

PS: I am from China, so my English is not good. Please let me know if there is sth wrong with my remarks. Thx.

Hey,

The formats are as follows,

RMVB、RM、AVI、WMV、FLV、MPEG、DAT、MP4、ASF、MP3、WMA、APE、FLAC etc.

Sorry I don't know whether it supports .ogg for I haven't got one file like that.

It's a open source audio codec that produces better quality than MP3 at the same bitrate. It's free too; I don't understand why more Chinese manufacturers support it.

I have a fews questions about the video player
- Can you fast-forward ?
- Can you load subtitles ?

I got the Dingoo today , haven't played around with it enough , but did manage to drop it on the floor and scratch the screen badly :(

You will be glad to know that there is a screen protector, run your finger along the outer edge and pull up and you should see it start to lift up.
