I need at least 7 hours, but usually get 9 or 10 lol  . However I've got a friend who only sleeps 4 hours a night(every night), so its definitely possible, weather or not its good for you is another thing ;) .

You can actually teach your body to live off less sleep. Some people started of sleeping 8 hours a night, but during a test they started to sleep for 5-6 hours. Now, they feel fully refreshed after 5-6 hours, instead of the 8 hours.

I personally, wake up at 6:30-7, and head to sleep at 9:30 during school days. Weekends, it's from 6:30-7 till midnight. Holidays, it's pretty much 6:30-7 till 1am. I'm always good afterwards

some people simply need less sleep than others...and the reason why is unclear. can you imagine having a little kid that only needs 4 hours of sleep, while you need a full 8? yikes!

also, we gradually need less sleep as we get older. but try as i might, i need a -good- 8 hours every night, otherwise i can look forward to a day of lethargy and headaches :0P i'm incredibly jealous of people who can get by with less, lol.

I love it to sleep as long as I can. But I don't need to. Today I slept 6 hours.
