Hm, I'm not having problems running any apps through this. I wasn't able to get dmenu to work while keeping it in the vfat partition, but since this is so tied to the regular linux system, I just stuck it in my rootfs as recommended.

Maybe if you haven't, try dmenu in your /root directory?

maxif875 - did you add the export sdl line for the nomouse option to your /etc/profile file? Maybe that's why it's not working?

quadomatic thanks for your help. I've solve the problem, i don't even know exactly how, i don't think theres any liason but what i do was only delete these two lines of the inittab file
# ::sysinit:cat /mnt/fat/history > /root/.ash_history
# ::sysinit:cat /root/history > /root/.sh_history

but i don't see any connection between these things...

I don't get why that would solve it either.......I guess you don't really need history anymore, but that makes no sense to me

Whatever works I guess!

mm no that was nothing to do with the fix, now i've realize why
when i start dingux dmenu runs automatically then if i run duke or scumm i get errors BUT if i press select (exit) and from history i reopen dmenu then i can run everything perfectly
so i checked the rc5 file and have realized that it miss the final & after ./dmenu
all things have theirs explanations in linux, but sometimes it's a little dark to see for noobs like me

by the way does anybody know a command to shutdown directly from dingux? so we can add it near reboot in dmenu
