Request - EVERYTHING ported to dingux!

Postby espontaneo on Thu Jul 30, 2009 8:01 am

Hi there,

Please could somebody port EVERYTHING to the dingux - I would really like everything, ever

I'd do it myself but I don't have the time or the ability. I don't mind if you have to reverse engineer something - it's supposed to be easy (what is open sauce anyway, some kind of wonderful condiment?)

Thanks in advance.

I know you'll do this IMMEDIATELY because I put request in the title and this happened once.

PS: How do I install dingux? I've looked about but thought It would be easier to have someone explain it AGAIN.

PPS: What games would you recommend I play? I'm looking for an Shooter/RPG/Strategy/Golf game featuring angry walruses and large breasted robots....

PPPS: Not "Final Fantasy Golf Spaceshop warrior IX" I've played that to death.

PPPPS: Has anyone thought of making the power/button/radio/GBA work in dinugux?, I suppose I must be the first.

PPPPPS: I like sarcasm.

Well seeing as nobody has yet ported everything I'll make a few more suggestions, just to be really really helpful.

As soon as you (yes YOU) have ported these please PM me IMMEDIATLY.

OpenOffice - Could be made to work with simple key combos for typing - or you can only type words made up of X,Y,B,A,L,R and S (like LABS or LBXR). Alternatively we could develop a whole new system of writing based on only these letters. Wouldn't take long to learn, say 6 months.

Iphone - Yes the iphone can clearly be emulated on the dingoo because the dingoo only has a slightly slower processor and it has a microphone. The touch screen could be replaced by a slowly moving pointer using the dpad and such - surely by tethering the dingoo to a laptop we could have full 3g funtionality on the dingoo. OMFG! Easy peasy.

Symbian - while we are at it let's have all those fekking repugnant phone games on the dingoo! There's like 3 good ones (I say good, I mean good for a phone, which is bad) in existence.

scrobbling/Game scrobbling - I know that when I get home from work I like nothing better than getting home and browsing for hours the kind of s*&t that other people play or listen too..surely the dingoo needs this.

Wi-FI gaming - Me and my buddies (ok so I made them up, the dingoo IS my friend) often feel like sitting in front of our 3ghz PCs trying to connect to each other to play doom co-operative on our tiny dingoos. Alternatively we'll find a hotspot and fruitlessly try to connect to quakeworld servers over and over - it will be great to see how well a dingoo hosts a multiplayer game of quake when it's running at a blistering 10fps.

* I jammed a coathanger in the tv out socket for better wi-fi reception but it ain't working * any ideas?

Microsoft Flight Simulator MXXI - nuff said!

Don't worry I've got plenty more of these

PS - please make sure when you port these things that you mention in the credits that it was my idea to do so. I've noticed a few things so far have been ported and they never mentioned me at all...

Hey now, you're hurting my feelings. :|
It seems you don't know what scrobbling is for, so dont be so quick to call it s*&t. Also, this is sacrasm thread, not making-fun-of-others' thread.

Seriously though - a 4-6-keys typing system would be a revolutionary idea for portable devices. You could make money off it. ;D

I'm grabbing the latest toolchain, plus some sweet, sweet sauce to try my hand at another port: Crimson Fields.
