Brilliant work! Even better than the original. Should get Toddler to add it to the local pack.

:D :D :D :D

This solved the mouse pointer for the Snes emu.

SDL_ShowCursor(SDL_DISABLE);

somewhere after SDL_Init()? This should disable the mouse cursor drawing.

Thanks for the tip, I have uploaded a new version with the cursor gone and sorted out the issues with some of the controls. You can now enter scores and quit (but why would you want to :)

Not sure what the sound issue is yet so its still not working.

Hi Nice job!

Can you map A or B to fire button - X seems strange.

One other thing is the entering the name when you die. Can you reduce it to 3 characters. Seems too long - about 8 characters.

Cheers for this - Great work!

I did an icon more in keeping with the prevailing look:

You don't need to enter all 8. I think it's mapped like this at the moment:

up/down select letter
x-enter letter
b-delete letter
a-enter name

so you can (if you are lazy like me) just press a and not bother entering anything

Ok I moved things on a bit this morning before work:

Swapped X and A control as requested.
Included nice new icon provided
Included a basic readme.dingoo alongside the gp2x one

Bug spotted: Changing theme causes corruption in transfer screen.

Still to do:
- Fix bugs
- Get sound working.
- Increase size of energy display.
- Maybe default to classic graphics (would anyone mind I wonder?)

Perhaps I should learn how to program in C ?

A quick post because I got the sound effects working.

Just unzip the new executable into the freedroid/data/src over the existing one and the sound effects should be working.

Turned out the problem has something todo with the processing of ogg files (i.e. background music) which caused the program to disable all sound in response. I just forced it to use sound anyway which at least provides sound effects.

Will try to get the music working when I understand a bit more about what is happening.

Does anyone know a way to pause the console screen so that you can see error messages on the dingoo?

Hi,

Added the updated fd file and I now have a problem updating when booting out of Linux. The Original Dingoo OS tries to update then it hangs on:

ThouArtDefeated_Sound_0 .wav (part of the Freedroid sound effects). Didn't get this on the non-sound version.

Have to use reset each time so have went back to non-sound version for now.

mmmm....not really sure if it's realated or not, the reason I say that is because I even before I started this project I downloaded the so called fixed version of the megadrive emulator for the original o/s which had the exact same effects as your describing. if you check the forums you will see others as well with the same issue. also i here a few people have having problems with the dingux system corrupting the SD which may also account for it.

all I can tell you is that I am using my dingoo with the sound enabled and its not getting stuck on the update.

Sorted - I added Arkanoid and Mrdriller folders and something about them screwed up the update process. Removed them and updates fine now.
