File corruption in native OS?

Postby eule on Thu Sep 03, 2009 2:56 pm

I have a big problem with my Dingoo, there´s a corrupted folder on the 4 GB ROM:
Image
As you can see, the files take 105 GB. It all started, when i deleted a movie, but i couldn´t delete the directory, the movie was in. No 105 GB then... Now my Dingoo is out of space, although there are only about 1,5 GB used.
Guess i have to format, is that safe? Will i have to flash the firmware again (hope not!)? And most important: What caused it, maybe the unsafe disconnecting?
My SD is corrupting like hell too, had to format it twice in two days and it´s corrupt again (dingux lamenting about not being able to mount mmcp01 or somethinglike that), although i use the latest kernel. Suggestions for that problem are welcome too. :-)

Maybe it's possible to run chkdsk on it. Rightclick the dingoo drive, properties, head to the tools tab and try error checking.
But it's of course your own risk...

chkdsk fails, says it can´t complete the check. :?
I think i´ll format, and hope the firmware + dual-boot will stay.

Ha, of course, i won´t do THAT mistake again...
OK, after formatting, everything works as it should again, firmware is still there. :D
This topic was probably not necessary (shame on me ^^), but maybe someone will have a similar problem once.
Now going to format my SD...
Thanks for the suggestions! :)
