Actual Dingoo eduke32 gameplay screenshots

Eduke32 is an enchanced port of Duke Nukem 3D engine.
Features:
* Hundreds of new features that make the player's life easier
* An incredible number of new extensions to the game's CON scripting system, allowing gameplay changes that rival even modern games
* It's the only actively developed and maintained Duke3D port
* Compatible with mods for EDuke 2.0, the original extension to Duke3D's editing capabilities
* Hundreds of optimizations and fixes for rare and annoying bugs in the original code
* It supports Ogg Vorbis for sound effects and music
* It supports user maps that are larger and more complex than ever before, both in terms of wall/sector/sprite counts and how much of the map can be rendered at once
* It's developed by people who have been in the Duke3D scene since day one, way back in 1996
* It lets you play that game called 'NAM' you saw at the dollar store
* It makes sandwiches

Download: file archive mirror

Installation:
1) Copy the eduke32 directory somewhere on your filesystem
2) Put the duke3d.grp file from your original datafiles in the same directory
3) Place eduke32.cfg config file in the ~/.eduke32 directory
4) Run ./eduke32 executable

Controls:

D-PAD - movement
A - shoot
B - strafe
X - use/run
Y - jump
L - crouch/cycle items
R - cycle weapons
START - use item
SELECT - game menu

All the controls are custimozable in the menu

Bugs:
* The first eduke32 launch after dingux reboot will always result in a crash. Simply run the game again.
* When the music is enabled, there is a chance the game will freeze on the map loading screen.
Disable music in the game menu to prevent that from happening.

Credits:
I'd like to thank the following people:
* Plagman - for help with debugging the eduke32 source
* mth - for writing the 16bpp video conversion for Dingoo
* people from #eduke32 on freenode - for many hints and general help

It's a port of duke3d engine, that can run either the original duke3d datafiles, mods, or even standalone games like NAM (on screenshots).
It's superior than the icculus duke3d port we currently have on dingoo.

Hi

sorry but what does this mean....

3) Place eduke32.cfg config file to the ~/.eduke32 directory

Got it booting but screen too big. Can see the config sets 320 * 240.

~/ is your $HOME directory. By default it is /usr/local/home

Hi

Bloody Linux refused to display items in the folder so couldn't find them. Back to XP and working now.

Thanks

Nice,

Windows wouldn't let me make a the .eduke32 folder in /usr/local/home directory.
I had to run eduke32 in Dingux without the config file.
It automatically made the .eduke32 folder but loaded with the graphics too big.
I reset the Dingoo in normal mode.
I was then able to copy the eduke32.cfg config file into the now existing .eduke32 folder.
Run eduke32 in Dingux again and it crashes on some audio thing.
Run eduke32 in Dingux one more time and it works everytime now!
I find this version to load faster and run smoother than the previous Duke32 Dingux port.

Yeah, that's the problem with loading while music is enabled.
Simply disable music in the game options and now it should load fine.
That of course doesn't mean that every time you load a level while sound is on, you'll experience a hang up, but it happened few times for me already.
For a workaround I'd suggest to load levels with music off, and then turn it on during the game.

Thanks!! This is much better than the previous port. Much faster, and great for playing user levels. Is there any way to play Nam without manually editing the cfg file each time?
