I was messing around with speakers and forgot the headphone slot was on the side... I plugged them in the bottom instead.


Basically, if you don't like using the side jack for speakers or headphones, you can plug them into the AV OUT jack and they will also work.

Although, headphones should not be used because the audio will also still play through the Dingoo's built in speakers when using the AV jack

This will allow for Super BOOSTED Bass output on powered speaker systems.

lol, i actually remember looking at the dingoo the other day and noticing for the first time that there was a headphone jack on the side...

whoever designed it wasnt thinking clearly, as its totally unnecasary. i guess someone might want to use headphones at the same time as tv-out?

but yeah, the 2 way audio chanel is carried in the same way in the tv-out as in the headphone jack.

The headphone out is for varying the amount of sound you are getting. I noticed the other day that the AV jack audio is variable as well, it should actually be a fixed full level (IMO) for AV devices as there's little occasion to vary the audio going into another device as the device you are going into almost always has a volume attenuation.

If you want to use the AV/out for connecting headphones (if you don't like the way you have to handle the system when the headphone jack is used, like me), you can go to the Setup Menu, and turn the Speaker off. This will cut the audio for the speakers, but not for the AV out.
