Hah! Wacky technique, but it worked on the first try for me! Thanks guys! I wonder whats up with our dingoos... If it makes any difference, mine was one of the newer ones in the black box.

Ah...
About the video out : it resets the frequency too.
I don't see anything to do : even if I switch to video out using the shortcut in applications (start+L), same result : speed comes back to normal !

Did somebody figure out a trick for the a320 to keep the overclocked frequency when playing on TV-out ?

I didn't...

So what the original speed of the dingoo ? 300 ?
If I flah these custom firmwares : overclocking-firmwares-385-400-mhz-t159.html , then I will not need this application ?

I do want to have this for my Alpha 400, too :D
Where did you get the jz4740.c? Was there a jz4730.c around, too? And how can I understand this Makefile? Can one create mipsel32-elf files with that? Does it need further modification to work on Linux?

Hey all

I've just released a very BETA verison of 'cpud' for Dingux, my automatic cpu clocking daemon. Just out the post here: cpud-automatic-overclocker-daemon-for-dinguxv0-1-beta-t959.html.

nardich wrote:Get in 3D menu
Select the overclock application, push A, release A
Push again A (very quickly) and keep it pressed.
Then push B (or left) several time until you get back to the principal menu
Then you have to get in "interesting games", and that's the most tricky moment:
Release A and (as fast as you can) repush it to get in "interesting gammes". Keep A pressed.
Navigate in the menus using left and right on the d-pad, always keeping A pressed.
Select you game/emulator with right on the d-pad, and when finaly on the game, release A.

If you want to be sure you're doing it the right way, try with the 200mhz underclock, so you'll see menu being VERY slow, and if they get back to normal speed one time, it'll mean you did smtg wrong.

Many thanks to heiligerhubertus !

I can confirm this method works. I was previously unable to get the overclocking apps to work until I tried this. SFZ2 is much improved. Thank you!
