Thanks for making it so the binary can be run from the fat partition.

I'm having a problem though. I put GMU into hold mode using SELECT+UP. However, after a few minutes, the backlight will not turn back on after turning hold off and pressing buttons (though the player still functions as far as I can tell). Also, even in hold, for some reason, track skipping still works sometimes, though not all the time. I don't want it to work at all though...

Is there any way to fix these problems? (I am using the latest dingux kernel)

I will look into it. I already got an idea what might be the cause.

I'm getting alot of static/pops and distortion when using the latest GMU. It's silent when it starts up but as soon as I play a song the static starts up and continues even when the song is stopped. The music it's self is decoding fine, just this layer of interference 'under' it. Is there anything I can do to fix this or is it a known problem?? Many thanks.

Thanks. Great program btw. The previous beta worked fine with older rootfs but i'm using latest rootfs/gmu this time. Also is wma support possible? I know it's a propriety format so I wasn't sure if this is do-able.

Ok, on further investigation it seems that the static/distortian is there for every program that uses sound. It was just more noticable with gmu as when you pause or stop the track the static continues. Does anyone else have this issue?

It might be possible if there is a wma decoder library available that uses fixed point math only. As I personally do not care much about WMA, I haven't searched for such libraries yet.
With the final 0.7.0 release I will release an API for developing decoder plugins for Gmu (which is not that difficult given there is a decoder lib available for the decoder to be implemented as a Gmu plugin). So everyone who can program and wants support for a format not yet supported by Gmu, can implement their own decoder plugin.
